I'll get right to the point
- if you're interested in starting an online business, go
with the feeling, you've reached step 1, you're interested.
The big question: "What
do I do? How do I get started?"
It is simple, I'll show you.
But first, remember that you have to decide to be smart,
be logical, and go at your own pace. Decide if you're in
this for the long haul or is you're just experimenting.
Either way, you must be determined
to learn and execute.
If you have some money to invest,
that's good, obviously you will need it. Don't be naive
enough to think you can run a business with no money. You
don't need much to get started, but you will need some.
Before you read further, please
understand that I am not trying to sell you anything. Personally,
I don't care if you take my advice or recommendations, I
am trying to help you. If you're a relative newbie, this
is outstanding information.
The below formulas assume that
you have a computer and a HTML editor.

Decide what you want to sell. An affiliate product? Your
own product? Either way, you can make money. My humble advice
is to sell something that you know something about or have
an interest in.

Example: If you've got experience
and high interest in golf, you may want to sell golf clubs.

Decide if your "would be" chosen product is something
that lots of people who are in a hot target market are wanting
to buy. Ideally, they will have already been buying products
relating to that product, service, etc. in that market.
Do not overestimate
this...do NOT try to acquire or develop
a product 1st and then try to sell it.
Research the market 1st! Research

I repeated it 3 times because
this concept is the #1 concept (by far) that you need to
grasp in order to save yourself time, money, aggravation,
and heartache.

product driven.

Research your keywords selection based around the product
or service you'll sell and see what the competition looks
like...can you compete?
I won't tell you how to do
keywords research here, it would take up too much time.

Get a Clickbank nickname so you can sell products that are
in the Clickbank storefront - Sign up for Clickbank.

Sign up for Google's
Adwords. I'd recommend to start here and once you get
the hang of it, move onto Overture.

- You set the amount you feel comfortable with!
Place ads on Adwords that attract
people to your product or affiliate product.
GoogleCash
will set you up nicely with information to know how to make
money quickly with Google's Adwords.

7.
Get an auto responder. If you can invest a mere $17 per
month, you'll be ahead of the game. I use GetResponse auto
responder and have been 100% satisfied. Of course you can
use any auto responder you want, I am only recommending
GetResponse because I have used it in my online business
from day 1 and have been 100% satisfied.

8.
Get your domain name. Be careful! Don't select your domain
name until you've found your main keywords. Why? Because
you can optimize your content around those keywords to leverage
search
engine optimization and get free an targeted traffic.
The keywords in the domain name help optimize your pages
so that search engines like.
Example: Domain name of "deciding-on-divorce.com"
includes the keywords phrase "deciding on divorce",
the main keywords for the product at this web site). goDaddy
has a good service.

9.
Set up your web site. Easy enough when you learn a little
HTML. Don't re-invent the wheel, don't struggle with this...make
it easy on yourself. Use a template if possible so you can
have a ready made page and all you need to do is add your
content.
10.
Optional: If you have the time to learn search engine optimization
you should do so. I am not saying to be an expert, but you
should at least learn the minimum. I made the mistake of
waiting a while to learn search engine optimization, that
was a serious mistake. I was missing out on over $2100 extra
income per month.

Write your name and email capturing call to action and write
your auto responder series around the product you want to
sell. (This will take some time but is highly effective.
Doing this is an absolute must and you're certainly going
to increase closure rates by writing an email auto responder
series.)

Optional but highly recommended - Get involved with CBMall.
I should have joined CBMall a long time ago, it paid for
itself in 1 day! Now I have yet another revenue stream.

Continue to learn online marketing. This is the most important
thing to do - keep learning. You'll find that online marketing
is about education but it is also about eliminating obstacles
and implementing what has been proven to work.
Your success
is not determined by how much money you
invest, it is determined by your marketing savvy that comes
from your online marketing education. You've just seen how
to start an online business in a ridiculously cheap fashion.
A couple hundred bucks in NOTHING to invest in an
online business...$200 to $300 is such a tiny thing when
you can easily make that amount and more every day!
