"Search
Engine Optimization (SEO), Vitally Important, Seldom Understood"
"Search Engine
Optimization is an absolute key
to your success as an Internet marketer and I implore
you take the time to learn what it is all about so you
can harness the power of free and targeted traffic."
Quite frankly, the traffic
from search engines is the best you can get, bar none. Not
even joint venture traffic can compare with search engine
traffic and here's why...
When people use search engines,
namely Google - truly the best of the best, they do so to
get information...they go to search engines because they
want to find out about something they don't already know
or they use search engines because they want to solve a
problem that they currently suffer from.
Understanding this is imperative
for you as an Internet marketer. Sure, everyone wants gobs
of traffic from the search engines but it must be the right
type of traffic...traffic brought to your web site from
the right keywords. Otherwise, the traffic is useless. The
traffic you need has to be targeted to the right market,
the market who wants what you have to offer.
The problem with some newcomers
to Internet marketing is that they don't understand that
the Internet is vast, hugely vast, and that there is "enough
to go around". Don't worry about getting everyone,
get the people who want what you have to offer to
your site, everyone else does not matter in the least.
One of the tricks is to find
the people who want what you have to offer,
which is a serious undertaking in and of itself. But, it
is fairly simple to figure out what keywords people would
use to find what you have to offer...that is, as long as
you know who you are marketing to. If you don't know
exactly who you're marketing to, don't even start
the initial part of search engine optimization,
keyword research.
But, if you can
clearly define exactly who would find your
product useful, then you are ready for search engine
optimization. And please, don't take the idea of
search engine optimization research lightly...major corporations
have spent millions learning how the search engine algorithms
work and what needs to be done in order to rank high on
the SERP's (Search Engine Results Pages).
Fortunes have been made and
lost on trying to get page 1 rankings and researching what
works an what doesn't...do not underestimate the fact that
search engines optimization is big business.
Respect it.
"Search Engine
Optimization: Keyword Research, The Start Of It All, The
Most Important Step By Far!"
Effective keyword research
can either make you money or waste your time, its your choice.
Bottom line: Be smart, don't get emotional
about all the money you can make, just be systematic. Once
you get the right keywords picked, search engine
optimization is fairly easy.
But, if you pick the wrong
keywords, all your efforts will be for nothing.
Once you fully understand your
target market, what makes them tick, where they hang out
online, what problems they have, and what it is going to
take to make them happy, then you can start choosing keywords
to target for page 1 rankings on the search engines. I can't
stress enough how important this is...
Wrong keyword = time suck.
Right keyword = money. It is really that simple.
So how do you choose keywords?
Well, that's a separate book all by itself but I'll give
you some partial insight as to how to approach it.
Ask yourself,
"What keywords
would I search on to find my product assuming that I had
the problem that my product solves?"
You most likely are going to
come up with a huge list and that's all good! Once you compile
a list, you need to do further research to see which keywords
are searched on most and how much competition there is for
those particular keywords. Remember that competition is
good, it means that there's a market there most of the time.
For further information about
finding keywords that are best suited to your market, I
suggest running the keyword list through DigitalPoint's
Keyword Suggestion Tool. See how many searches are performed
on your keyword per day and see how many other sites are
targeting those keywords.

"Search Engine Optimization:
Get incoming links."
How many links point to your
web page and what is their relevance to what you offer?
That's a big question but it isn't the only factor that
makes a difference, it depends on your niche. Oooh, there's
that word, "niche".
It's been a big thing lately
but truthfully niche
marketing is nothing new at all...its the same old smart
marketing that's been making companies money for decades.
Niche marketing
preys on one concept alone - that people will
find what is most suitable to what they are looking for.
Quite simple isn't it? And, when it comes to search engine
optimization, there's no concept more targeted.
The fundamental truth that
will survive all the smart page products, doorway pages,
cloaking, software programs that generate ridiculous "search
engine friendly" pages, etc. is this concept -
"Search engines
want to find pages that bring the most relevant information
and content to the user of the search engine."
Truly an old school mentality
and I love it!
Here it is again...write/find
content that is most relevant to what you have to offer
based on keywords and search engines will love you. I am
living proof that this is true. Content, content, content...easy
enough right? You bet, but you need to know how to navigate
through it all.

This software is unlike ANYTHING available
on the market, this software creates attractive, 100% customizable
pages that users won't immediately back out of.
Better than that, these sites are fully
DYNAMIC, while still appearing as static HTML to the search
engines. These pages change on a regular basis, making them
nearly impossible to spot with automatic means by the search
engines.
